Open Submission Shows
Open Submission Show Information:1. Open Submission means it is not judged or juried. What is brought in
is included in the show, providing it fills the requirements,
(this is subject to change if too many pieces to fit are brought in).
2. The art work must be original and made by you (not a copy or a print, unless photography or computer graphics). It cannot be conceptual, perishable, hateful, or offensively overtly pornographic. Nudity, sensuality, sexuality, and the celebration of art history and the body are fine. Art Pad displays art that is modern, funky, unique, fun and cool, not "traditional". Please take pride in your presentation as well. The better it is put together, the better it shows! You may provide prints of your work to sell.
3. It has to do with the Theme of the particular show.
4. It is hang-able. Picture wire or suitable hanging hardware is on the piece, unless it is sculpture. Keep in mind the floor is cement and there is not a lot of room for sculpture. Things not able to be hung with ease will not be hung.
5. Don't bring in piece that you do not want to sell. (NFS=no)
6. The artwork is brought in by you ON the due date between 12:30-5:30, not after. You may bring it in prior if you make an appointment to do so.
7. You do not need to make a reservation or notify the gallery of your submission. No Prior discussion and or approval needs to occur. Just bring it on the due date.
8. Artist sets the retail price & the gallery receives 40% from its sale.
9. A contract can be emailed to you upon request. This will make drop off day much faster and easier! This is GOOD! email a contract to me!
10. It is free to show your art at Art Pad Gallery.
11. There is always an "Opening Reception" for each show. This is usually the first Saturday of the show. The Gallery provides food, refreshments and live music. Feel free to invite your friends and family!
12. DO NOT FORGET to PICK UP your artwork on the last day of the show!!!!!!!!!!!***

***Artists!: If your piece didn't sell->Please pick up your work. When you don't- it just makes work that much more difficult.
