Art Submission Information:

We at Art Pad Gallery are always looking for artists who are unique and fun. If, after reading the following information you feel your work would fit in nicely at Art Pad Gallery, then please mail a CD with a return SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). CD's will not be returned without the SASE. PLEASE also include your artist's statement and contact information preferably an email address. You will be contacted within approximately 4 weeks of receipt of CD. Don't forget another way to have your artwork at Art Pad Gallery is through the "Open Submission Shows". There are several each year and they are very fun. Please review the process on the Open Submission Show page.

Artist and Art requirements:

    * You are a ready to be exhibited. Your style must be fully developed and recognizable as uniquely yours.
    * You are a Professional. You are able to pack, ship, and handle your art when necessary so that it arrives undamaged - or hire a professional shipper to do it.
     *Your art is clean, professional, and ready to hang. This means a picture wire is on your art whether or not it is framed. Art with no picture wire will not be hung. Gallery is not responsible to put it on there for you or tell you it needs one, just do it.   
    

What we ARE looking for:

•    Fresh contemporary art in all media. Emphasis on skill and talent!
•    Fun, Modern, Unique and Hip art.
•    Handmade cool “gifts”.


What we are NOT looking for:

    * Conceptual art (though we love it, we can’t exhibit it).
    * Anything that is not hang ready, improperly applied, or perishable.
    * Work that is Not for Sale.
    * Hateful or inappropriately overt pornography.
    * Traditional work: landscape, impressionist, or other work that is easily identified as 19th Century or earlier.
    * Western Traditional or identified as “Southwest Art”
    * Traditional realistic sculpture.
    * Traditional portrait photography or portrait work.

    
    

Submission Guidelines:

1) Look through our web site thoroughly.
Be sure your work is complimentary. For example, if you are a traditional landscape painter, no matter how exceptional your work, this is not the right gallery for you.

2) Have accurate photographs taken of your work.
Digital is the best way. If you are forced to make excuses about the quality of your photographs, hire a professional. This is your work - do it right.

3) Look through your portfolio with a critical eye.
Choose 10 images or so that best represent your work.

4) Put your work on a CD.
Include contact information especially an email address.
Include your artist statement. This is information you want known about you and your art. This can be a sentence or a paragraph. You are not judged by this. This is also extremely helpful putting information about you on the Art Pad Website.

5) Mail the CD and a SASE to:
