ABOUT THE ARTIST
AL DANIEL MAZZARELLA
Al
grew up in upstate New York, the Rochester and Buffalo area. His early years
were much more athletic than aesthetic. His Bachelor studies were at the State
University of New York, Buffalo. His Master’s and Doctorate programs were at
the Ohio State University. Add to those, a year’s study of Fine Arts &
Photography in Siena and Florence, Italy.
Al taught 2-D Fine Arts and
Humanities (Art History) for the Columbus Public Schools- Brookhaven and Walnut
Ridge. He was director of Education at the Columbus Museum of Art, and he was
in the ranks of Professor at Western Michigan University and The Ohio State
University. Al owned a Camera Store, and an advertising agency (Mazz Media),
and a Fine Arts and Photography Gallery (Photogenesis).
Al has traveled throughout
the USA for decades, buying and selling Fine Arts and Photography Equipment and
Fine Arts and Photography works of Art. He continues to do so currently!
ABOUT THE ART
Mostly drawing, with some
painting, all works are two-dimensional on paper stock. They should be called
mixed media drawings (pen & ink, paints, inkjet, markers on archival paper
or board oriented stock.) Next year, Al will exhibit his paintings on canvas at
the Art Pad Gallery.
AL has two distinctive
genres of work;
And, YES, Yellow is Al’s
favorite color.
